Our Journey

Our Journey

Our Journey began as soon as we lost our way and lost our journey. Journey was your normal outgoing smart and fun little girl. Journey played with dolls like most little girls but like her daddy she loved her bullies and most of all Apache. Journey loved to attend bully events. She couldn’t wait to go to one she even called every show the banda’s blues show. Journey would say; “I want to go to the banda’s blues show.” Journey had a special connection with the dogs and the people she met even at the very young age of 3. Her time was cut short and yet she left a forever impact on our lives and in the community. Journey was admitted into Children’s Hospital early June and was not diagnosed until the 4th day in the hospital and even then the doctors said they were not sure if it was HLH. On June 11th 2013 we lost an angel and nobody truly knew how. That day will forever be a wake-up call to all the people Journey had touched. Our Journey will forever be based on our trials and tribulations from the loss of our Journey and we allow our loss to fuel us in growing this organization into a true weapon for the Cure.
